I recently purchased the Pastry Queen dough blender and I have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. The blades are heavy-duty and really make the task of blending dough an absolute breeze. One of the best features of this pastry cutter is how easy it is to clean. After use, the dough comes off the blades effortlessly, and it's dishwasher-safe, which is really easy! I've also found that even after several uses and washes, the blades remain sharp and efficient.
This is my first time owning a pastry cutter. Before, I would just use a fork or whatever I felt like would get the job done - this is great! It washed really easy, it was comfortable to hold, thanks to the comfort grip. If you don’t have one of these and bake quite frequently, do yourself a favor and get yourself one of these!
I've always loved to bake but, until recently, never tried making a pie crust from scratch. On Thanksgiving, I tried my first crust without a pastry cutter and wished I had one. Today I made an apple pie with a butter and cream cheese crust and used this cutter, which worked beautifully. It was such a pleasure to use a sturdy, functional tool. The cutter does the work of cutting butter (and, in this, cream cheese) into the flour. In the process, it gets quite dirty. So I'm even happier that it can go right into the dishwasher. I love this gadget!
